Our primary classes were treated to an amazing presentation by special guests, Marlene Hebert (Braille Transcriber) and Chenyl Graff (Blind Grade 12 student) from Dawson Creek school district. The students learned all about the challenges that people with vision impairments face on a daily basis. They also learned about “braille” and were shown some pretty amazing examples of braille work that Mrs. Hebert does for School District 59. At the end of the session, they were treated to a braille story by Chenyl, which they all loved! Chenyl is a pretty amazing young lady who has aspirations of one day becoming a lawyer. A huge thank-you to our primary teachers and Mr. Graham Cook for helping organize this opportunity for our students!
